Anyone have any idea about google map optimisation and how can we achieve it?. Replies are highly appreciated. thanks in advance,
Dont link to all your pages in the sitemap. Choose the most important sites if possible (unless your site is too big and it will be too much work) Employees of Google, Yahoo and Live all gave this advice recently.
regarding sitemap optimization, one, there is key words "sitemape"and its link on hompage, two, it turn to sitemape webmage after you click the sitemape sitemape link on the homepage, the sitemape include your web site framework for google can know your site better, finally, you submit your site to google map
Guys, he's not talking about the sitemap, he's talking about the Google-Map-Local-Search thingie that comes up for local searches. How can he get higher for those? How can he be the first to appear in the list of businesses? Because I'd like to know too. I don't know of a reliable way. In the past it was "get a mail address at the center of the town" - but apparently that doesn't work any more.
Just have a sitemap with the most important pages, have a link to it from the homepage, and submit to google. Other than that, there is not much importance to sitemap for SEO Actually, one can do very well without it (from personal experience)
lol, you guys are talking it in different way, You know google earth?...am talking about google map optimisation, not google sitemap optimisation.
I'm also interested in finding out how to get a website to number one in the google maps search. Anyone got any ideas?
you need to submit your site through Google business centre. when making your listing try and get a keyword in the title, and submit to the most relevant categories. once verified (which takes a few weeks) complete your profile and you should appear in some map results. I think user data comes into play in terms of getting a high ranking - i.e. good CTR/profile views once your business is visible
