Help Desk Software

    Hi there,

Ok, it's FINALLY time to switch over to a help desk. There are just too many lost e-mails & it's causing me stress not knowing if I'm losing sales, upsetting customers, etc. I'm even wondering if I should use that with the team, although that would probably be a pain.

Should I go OS, or buy a server side? I don't want hosted, that's just too much.

Please give me your own experiences & also recommend sites/OS that you think I should use.

My biggest pre-requisite, is that the ticket text be included at the bottom with my response at the top just like an e-mail, & that the thread be clearly visible no matter how many times we go back & forth.

Nothing irks me more than getting a response back to my question days later or even the next day, & I don't remember what my question was, or the thread grows & I have no way to see the entire conversation.

    Thanks :)

Wow, there are tons of good ones out there and theirs pros and cons to both hosted as well as self hosted. Seems like you want to go self hosted. I'd do a little Googling if I were you. I personally have experience with Kayako (fairly big) and it gets the job done.

    Hi Tues.

Yes, I'm aware of them, but I think they are hosted & pretty expensive.

Have you used others to even compare?

Thanks Mac, I'll have my assistant check them out.

Instead of Googling, I prefer people to give me referrals since you guys are the ones who have used them, just searching on Google doesn't tell me if they are any good.
