He was a genius. My college professors could not stand him. I hated painting, but loved working with acrylics. Ross was the master! God rest his talented fro wearing sole!
well we are going away from the topic my repected friends - this thread is meant for pictures of DP members so lets get started
Ok, you asked for it. Me and my sis back in the 80's at Six Flags Great America hanging with Sylvester!
Oh, it gets worse! At one point it was down to my butt. I think Great America was owned by Marriott or something a few years earlier btw. Man, that was a while ago! Talk about a long time ago. This is a reflection of me and my friends on a school field trip to the St. Louis Zoo circa 1978ish I think. I'm the one taking the picture wearing the Mizzou Tigers Cap! Ironically, I am taking a picture of a Guerilla, no no relation to the DP member
wow, 1) we did not ask for it, 2) nice ha-ha, I was totally thinking about that guy when I saw the BG....couldn't remember his name though! you know Bob is cool getting a FG joke,
All I have in my art box is hunter green and fan brushes... That guy rocked! BTW, here is a picture of my thumb in 84 in Pompei.
don't lie, that's the moon! and a full one @ that!! do not anger the volcano gods let's keep it to pics > = 84...no need to bust our the baby pics of you in the sink getting a bath
You weren't one of them "valley"s where you? I was over in Santa Cruz in the late 80's and early 90's. And on your other post it wasn't even Marriott's during part of the 80's, I think it was just Great America, probably privately owned back then. Did you ever see Santa's Village? Seagate sits on that property now - in Scotts Valley. The giant mushrooms were still standing up until 92 or so. (Yes shrooms and Santa Cruz go hand in hand.)
No, I was into hard rock and in a band. Long hair, heavy metal and forever a Def Leppard Fan, ETERNALLY!!! I have a spoon I bought in 84 I think from the gift shop says "Marriott's" on it. Dude, you are thinking of California (hence the valley thing)... I'm talking about the one in Chicago... That Marriotts, which was never privately owned, but purchased by the Six Flags corp way back when. We did not have a Santa's Village in Chicago. They close the park down for the winter here. It snows. BTW, it is open right now for Fright Fest!!! I've got some really old ass pictures from Six Flags over Mid America near where I grew up. (St. Louis) I've still got my 1977 season pass. I don't think Marriotts even existed back then. No Valley for me... I was more like, Wayne in Aurora.
Just about every one, UK, Italy, Hollywood, Chicago. I have to say UK was the best. Nothing like getting pints of bitter at a Hard Rock! BTW, there is a neato history site on "Great America" both Chicago and Santa Clara! Me, I try to stay away from Santa Clara. Too many damned vampires! http://www.greatamericaparks.com
Get started? We've been doing this for 466 pages now... Which one is you? (No, I don't think that joke will ever get old... ) Love the long hair, Mia! Rock on! Love Bites!! Is that the Vegas HRC? I am a big HRC fan. I get a t-shirt from everyone I go to, and even a few shirts from ones that I have not been to. One of my favorite days ever? 2 HRC's in 1 day. Niagara Falls. One on the Canadian side and one on the US side.
All over. London, York, Torquay, Stratford Upon Avon, and on and on. Stayed in Rockingham Castle a number of years back for a week. That was an experience! We rented a wing. COLD and DAMP!!!
