Hi, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg became the youngest self made billionaire according to Forbes magazine which was published on March 5th, 2008. Source How was he able to make a huge profit just by owning a social networking site? What is the source of income from Facebook and many other Social networking sites? I don't have an account at facebook and so not sure about them. Placing ordinary Google ads or any other ad space can fetch such a big money?
I think his site went Viral.. At least I think it was very popular in colleges which is a viral market.

i too heard about face book CEO. He is a small age boy. In this great world some peoples will have some extraordinary knowledge then average. face book CEO is like that. Not only Mark Zuckerberg, but also Bill gates, Einstein, Thomas Alva Edison, ambani, etc.,
I actually have a cool story about this guy. I was going in Tallahassee about 3 years ago (going to FSU). I went to a bar that we often go to right downtown. We go up to the bar and order a round of drinks. We get the drinks and ask for the bill. The bartender says "No charge, it's on those guys". Those guys being the creator of facebook and his buddy. The were not making a big deal about it or causing attention at all, just sitting at the bar hanging out. The honestly just went into this place to drink and told the bartenders that as long as they were in there... they would pay for any drink anyone ordered. Awesome huh? Louie XIII for everyone!! (joking about the louie, btw)
I'm pretty sure he got his billionaire status because of his stock value, not because he has billions in the bank from company revenue.
Well, the only way to make money on the internet is via ads, just like any other media platform. The more popular you are, the more sense it makes that you'll make A LOT of money from advertisements.
