Totally agree, affiliate marketing is 80% mental, and 20% physical. Many of the affiliate programs online are free and it does not take make money from them. To be successful at affiliate marketing requires mental power. For most people, the break down mentally when do money does not flow fast enough so the quite. It would be a no brainer but you certainly won't be giving up your day job any time soon.. The problem with affiliate marketing is finding that niche with high enough payouts to make the work you do worthwhile.. And then, if you do find a niche with high enough payouts, you need to get there early enough to beat everyone else.. Look at Ringtones.. Sure, there is plenty of money to be made there, but do you think that you could get in to that market on the cheap these days??
I think all you need - in all honesty, is a willingness and capability to write quality content on "whatever" subject you choose. If there is also a passion for the subject as well, that helps tremendously. If you do that, you will 100% make money online.

Affiliate marketing can provide a good income but it will take a lot of effort on your part.I recommend marketing monthly subscriptions to different resources, this way you do not have to start from "the beginning" each month.Instead, your income will grow month after month as long as people are paying for their subscriptions. I have been marketing for a couple of years and the absolute best results have come with email marketing.So, set up an auto responder and start building your list.
