What should I do with my site?

I am the owner of, editor and writer for www.technologywizard.net

Currently I'm waiting for google to index my site -- is there a way I can speed this process up, and once it's done.. what should I do?

Basically I'm asking for suggestions on how to get better seen.

Get yourself off to a good start by using Google's Webmaster tools at http://www.google.com/webmasters/start/

It's a very useful service.

 

Social bookmarking, Building quality back links to your website are few next things that u should do.
and then work on for some static Organic traffic.

 

Submit your site to various social bookmarking sites and directories. Participate in related forum which show your signature. Goodluck!

I would start off by submitting some post or articles to social bookmarking sites. Then build some back links by commenting on similar sites or forums. You can also take a look at my site in my signature for more ideas.

 

submit your site to sites that get cached often and your site should get indexed, how old is your site?

 

Find a forum for each of the categories you have then provide a few relevant posts on each of them. Should take about an hour a day. Definitely wouldn't hurt, plus you might find something else to blog about.

 

Even a forum can be optimized. You can increase traffic simply by having great placement in the search engines. This would be traffic looking for your niche/ forum..

I have "SEVERAL SITES" on page one of Google MSN Yahoo and others with NO LINKS, and get GREAT traffic to them all. Links are good but are the the end all to SEO or placement.

You have many good notes of advice and all will deliver traffic, but GREAT PLACEMENT will get you your desired results.

My site is about a week old now, think I submitted it to google about 5 days ago.

 

Keep adding content - keep getting links - comemnt on do-follow blogs I should think would be a perfect way to market this blog - nice blog BTW

 

google webmaster + submit express + sitemap = listing within few days

Get links from high page rank sites, do link building and submit your site to some social bookmarking sites.

 

You need a lot more posts! I just had a quick look round, and all looks good! (I like reading writers from the UK ) But you just need to write LOADS of posts, just to build up the content and get some hits from long tail keywords in the SERPS.

Dont forget social bookmarking and comment posting on related blogs

 

To speed up the index period,you can do
-digg
-stumble upon
-link exchange
-social bookmark

 

Use social bookmarking to build your profile and traffic.Be sure NOT to submit your own content all the time to the services because this will get you banned.People will visit your site when you build your profile and provide a link back to your site.
