Indonesians with fake credit cards

I had a pretty bad problem on my shop these past two weeks. I am getting a good deal of attempted purchases and some successful purchases from Indonesia and malaysia. Some of the purchases were 2000k and above. I of course rejected them and reported. How ever the same people are still attempting to purchase stuff. What can I do about them? they keep coming from the same IP addresses. They are obviously criminals and im not sure what their plans are.

i come from Indonesia. And yes, it's SUCH a pity that Indonesians are very popular for our "carding" issues. Sometimes when I joined one affiliate program, I was asked to prove that I'm a legit affiliate, not one of those fraudsters. It has been annoying, really.

As for your case, they want to use the fake credit card as long as they can, that's all. So you need to block their access.

The wisest solution would be to block the IP addresses of countries you do not want to accept orders from.

Depending on your merchant processor this may be something they are able to do for you, if not, you should be able to do it directly from your server.

    Good luck with your business

    Cheers

just block their IP's access, we all know they'll just changes IP's but if you think no legit customers will come from that area, block the ip range altogether

quite the other way around. Paypal could freeze your account or even worse terminate it. Read a bit about paypay and these issues. Google 'paypal sucks'.

I have heard that plimus is really good at catching the fraudulant transactions and I assume that they use an IP to location script along with calling the customer the first time that they order from you.
