I remember a video at one of McCains rallys, some woman shouted "Obamas an Arab!!!" and then McCain said "No Ma'am, he's not an Arab, he's a good person"...LMAO...as if to say all Arabs are bad people, another Mccain gaff i don't think the media picked up on!

It was actually "family man." See above. McCain's actual quote was:

Which I find about as bad as:

    (refer to previous page).

My bad, wasn't intentional, i just heard it on the radio now, the host was joking about it and that was the quote he said. Either way, it can still be interpretated that he was saying Arabs aren't family people, haha...comedy. :D

North maybe im mistaken but i thought for sure we cleared this one up? Dont you have anything better to do than just pick fights.

You remind me of the big kid that used to pick on me in Gym, at least until he accidentally ran into my hand, and then my knee, and then my hand again, finally finding his place on the floor.

To my knowledge, the only thing we "cleared up" is that you acknowledged the source you used to misquote Obama's quote that he "would stand for Muslims over Americans" was bullshit.

You're missing the point. Muslims can, uh, be Americans. As you never dealt with that, I have a hard time buying you'd have no issue now with Muslims holding national office. I'd love to be wrong.

Reliving a glory day of flooring someone can feel good, online, as long as it's not in person.;)

Are you kidding. That's all he does. Just put him on ignore, like 90% of the people here do.
That description seems to be synonymous with his posts as of late. Some people just get their kicks attacking others.

Like I said, the ignore button is the best remedy. Believe me, you don't want the aggravation.

It seems you must not have had your coffee today or something, did i not already say that i would not have a problem with a Muslim president? I have no problem with Muslims, its the radicals that blow each other and others up in the name of Allah that i would have a problem with.

The previous situation was about Obama choosing Muslims over America, I did have a problem with that, considering he may be out next president, but later agreed that it was a highly misquoted statement.

North if you plan to use my own word against me be sure to include the correct context, would ya

I'd rather see a moderate muslim(I mean if they were someone who didn't seem all that enthusiastic about their religion) as president than palin as vice president. Basically, the more I believe that the person believes in their god, the more nervous I am. If a blackish president is elected, it will give me a glimmer of hope, that perhaps one day an atheist/agnostic president also has a chance, although I won't be holding my breath.

Obama's views are dangerous to the United States of America. He was raised a communist by his mother one those views influenced Obama. You can throw in Ayers and twenty years of Wright's brainwashing and you have you Harvard made radical.

she has managed to create an image of bimbo in red for herself. mcold holding her hand in interviews does nothing to change that. Reminds me of chney holding bush's hand testifying.

now she says all the things that i wore is like props that were used in the RNC convention, atleast she acknowledges that RNC considered her another prop

Now, maybe I indeed didn't have my coffee, but since you restated the notion again, let me help explain where I have a problem.

Muslims are America. So are jews, sikhs, buddhists, atheists, zoroastrians, and anyone else under the sun. With McCain's statement that "Obama isn't a Muslim - he's a family man," I find this distinction between "Muslims" and "Americans" deeply troublesome. Do you understand my point? Maybe you've changed - but as you made the distinction again, let me just ask you so that we can move on: is there any reason for "Muslim" to be set in opposition to "American," "family man," "decent," anymore than anyone else?

As to "context," that's exactly why I provide the link. As much as Mia would love to hide under cover of something other than his own words, if I've misinterpreted something, I would love to be corrected, and would unhesitatingly apologize - something you should know, to be honest.

Here here. I'd love to see the day when the President doesn't close every speech with "God Bless America" whether he or she believes it or not, choosing instead to say, "we're all in this together," or something to that effect.

Palins religious views would do this country some good in all honesty. Let me ask you, what do you have against a person that is good, honest, a defender of life and freedom, an advocate for disabled children, and reform? Seriously? Yeah, she's such a horrible woman.

North, why are you playing stupid? You know what i mean. Im not speaking of Americans, and if im not mistaken, McCain said "Arab" not Muslim, but i could be wrong.

The point is, again context, Lets use a simple procedure i like to call "the process of elimination" Ok if im talking about Americans, when i say "I dont like the fact Obama would stand with Muslims over Americans" obviously the Muslims im speaking of are not Americans

Its really not that hard to comprehend, same procedure can be applied to McCains statement, and i apologize for not living up to your perfect level of speech.

Ah, because she is not a democrat and a women. Its kinda like being black and a Republican. Its a real conundrum to people that live under the tin foil hats.

You're a women and Republican? Were you dropped on your head as a child?

You're black and a Republican? You must be an uncle tom or something.

You're poor and a Republican? What's the matter with you. Don't you believe in hand outs?

Your middle class and a Republican? What's wrong, didn't you ever smoke weed?

It would be so nice if those on the left could just see the other side for what it is instead of attacking it.

She's not honest, and she is not a defender of freedom. She's also ignorant, and lacks any curiosity to resolve her ignorance. She has an absolutely psychotic view of "Divine Destination" (that no one has yet to address on this board), and is otherwise completely unfit to be running for national office.

I wish this were true, Simply, that it comes down to "context" or "loose meaning." But sadly, I can't conclude that. There are many - perhaps not yourself - who literally do not believe a muslim or arab (or jew, or any other person outside of the bigot's narrow world view) can be a "true American." Look to this thread, alone.

Yeah, that really sucks, saying blacks have to be one thing, or the other, irrespective of their worth as individuals. I wish the, uh, which was it? Left? Right? Would cut the crap out. I mean, that would be disgusting racism, right?

"Context - don't really mean it."

I don't have any problem with those characteristics. I have a problem with someone who I think honestly believes they have a personal relationship with god, that god talks to them, that a war in any way shape or form is part of god's plan, or someone who goes to a church with or shares religious views with people who speak in tongues or still believe in witchcraft.(Like real witches, not the fat girl, wiccan types)
As far as I know McCain and Obama are both bullshitters in regards to their religious beliefs like they are in other ways, like most politicians are. They could be atheists for all I know, but I really believe that palin believes the bullshit.

Colin Powell did. That was one of the great things about his endorsement.

It's truly sad (and truly Anti-American) the way the GOP has tried to make "Arab" and "Muslim" into negative attacks during this campaign. These people don't have a clue as to what America is really about.
