There is export control and trade sanction against Iran from United States, Google block Iranians from alot of downloads and services (Like Chrome browser can't be downloaded from Iran). But funny enough they still serve Adsense ads to Iran. Also if you live in usa, You can be fined up to 1 million dollars for breaking this law. Lastly this is why advertisers can't sell anything to Iran, so there Ads are probably blank anyways.
Well I don't know what your allowed to sell to Iran. Maby even selling a proxy service would breaking the trade sanction.. who knows. i'm not a lawyer But these guys got fined 6.3million for pumps. lolz http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2004/sep/25/nevada-company-fined-63-million-for-selling-pumps-/
Hey guys, this is the first day for me at DP. I've been reading this thread for a while and I'm very interested in making money from web proxies so you will probably find me discussing here with you I have a high-end VPS also bought few .infos for a start. But it's difficult to find what ad networks to use etc. Is it worth creating a proxy network website? A website which lists my own proxy servers. Is it only for traffic or extra money? Can anyone tell me good ad networks to use? I'd be happy to use your referral links. Also I've seen google search bars on web proxies, where to get one? Sorry for noob questions and thanks
Don't know about rogers but I know that at my school in canada they are not blocked and also tonight I will try it with videotron à Thanks for your answer.
It depend on what you need, what service you planing to provide to users, CGIProxy is generally more compatible with complex websites, including most JavaScript and some Flash. Both proxy scripts that you mention will hide your IP address, however, I recommend that PHProxy and Glype be used with JavaScript and Flash disabled because these could lead to the unintentional disclosure of your IP address.
Hey guys I noticed Google Groups is available by SSL. https://groups.google.com something you might be interested in. We the know school techies might try to block groups.google.com to stop them from reading the newsletters.
I've always found proxies to be troublesome on any domain, mainly due to being blocked and causing SEO problems. Now I avoid them like the plague.
What are you talking about? troublesome on a domain? huh! SEO problems? I dont understand what your getting at
