Can you please explain by what you mean by 'newsy'. That would be helpful. One thing I do not understand is that people keep talking about design. They never seem to bother about content at all. That is really sad. What do people think about the content of newszz.com? How about the design of dmoz or google. It ain't fancy or anything like that, but they have great content and technology behind them to be successful. I am not sure how much of a site's success can be attributed to design and how much to content? Any idea? IMHO if a site has superb content then the design should hardly matter for the site's ultimate success. Please share your opinions on that.
You have some real good content there and i think so people talk about design more because the most attracted thing to the eye is design and logo ... When we open a site we look at the design first and then the placement of things there and then the content .. Somewhere we just look for content only but for reviews its top most to chck the design that is why people talk a lot about it

I like the idea, but thinking about changing the design to make it look more sleek. Try natural colors like black or something, it'll make it look better; but i think its a good idea overall. Goodluck

Uuh, well. Unexpectedly good. I really like that. Now all that remains is to solve a monetization question. How are you goin' to earn dosh from it? Just an idea... can you dig up a feed that gives you picture news? Maybe have a pic-news roll at the bottom or near the right side. Or tell me to shut da f*** up
The design looks good. Try a deeper shade of blue, and use gray instead of black, the two are clashing right now. Please also try variations in font size between headings and news items. You need to design a logo as well, and start monetizing through strategically placed ads.
I think that if you add a nice sleek new logo, get someone on here to design one if you cant, it would really bring ths site to life then!
WOW! and finally I am happy to receive a positive comment on this forum. That felt like a big accomplishment when I was not seeing any light at the end of the tunnel. If at all anything I owe it to you guys for providing constant feedback/suggestions/criticism for keeping up with the site. Thanks to you guys and the digital point forum. If at all anything, one thing that strikes me very much is that running a website isn't a spirint. It is a marathon. So it would be important to sustain it for the long term than giving up in the short term. So many incremental long term improvements will be better than a few short term ones and then giving up. So I realize there is a long way to go before making the site close to a success.
Thanks. Do you have any specific suggestions when you say 'you can work on your design'. I had try to improve the design to some extent and have received some positive feedback. Of course there is a long way to go. Another major issue (for every site of course) is to be able to bring some traffic and revenues. Easier said than done.

The idea is good but you have to remain active to update it regularly....try add some new and unique news...it uses bbc service
It looks ok but whats so unique about it that will make me want to return? I just think there are to many mainstream news outlets who have a better product.. maybe consider tightening it around a specific niche..
It consolidates news from several news sources and categories into one. You can read all the news from all these sources in just one place, including news from all countries around the world. I agree, this isn't cnn.com or nytimes.com, but it consolidates news from them here. It also contains fresh content updated regularly that search engines should index. Please point me out to another website that does this. It also contains news archives containing the same idea. I will also add features with which users can comment on a news item or forward them. Please suggest other features. How do I tighten it around a specific niche? You mean like sports etc.?
