is "surfing" and out of date term?

"surfing the net" sounds kind of dated. is there a new word/phrase to describe it... or are people still "surfing"?

 

Then what do you think is the new term

It does sound old, but I usually use the term surfing only, it sounds cooler that way

 

I think browsing is a much better term

 

Agreed. Surfing is the term most commonly used and hence I think people are bored with that. Same thing will happen to browsing in the days to come. Of course, clever people will always coin new terms when necessary
