I love it! Except, I wish they'd used stronger language, like, "There is no God, you #@#@ing primitive Dark Age peasants! Now, stop killing each other over imaginary, nonsensical bullshit!"

I'd say, why not? We live in America where we should have the freedom to express our feelings even if they go against our founding fathers. I believe in God so I'm against the idea and wouldn't support it but I'd respect the freedom to do it. With the same freedom we can support our beliefs.

    Yeah, no kidding!

It's kinda funny though -- seems like atheists try awfully hard to 'prove' there isn't a God. If there truly isn't a God (as the atheists say), then why does it matter so much to them?

I mean, I know that God exists. Period. BUT, if you choose to not believe then that's fine. I accept you as you are.

I personally don't care what people's beliefs are. I only care if those beliefs intrude on me, or otherwise harm the lives of people, here and now. For instance, I've made mention of Sarah Palin's dangerous mindset, respecting "God" and "Governance," before:

Not a word in response, much less condemnation of this dangerous set of notions. It is dangerous because it is precisely a "divine provenance" point of view at the helm of the largest state power in world history.

An example of a similarly dangerous notion respecting God and McCain's candidacy:

Some of the dangerous mindsets at work in the right wing of the GOP, the "evangelical right":

-And they aren't alone. Fundamentalist freaks of every persuasion - Whether atheist, or, believer - Christian, Hindu, Islamic, Jewish, Sikh, whatever - anyone whose beliefs in their God leads them to believe theirs is the only answer to life, and all others are befouled human beings, well, yes, I have a problem with that.

So long as anyone says to another, "and it harm none, do what you will," has my support.

    1. Atheists care because bishops are granted places in the house of lords for no other virtue than the fact that they happen to hold an authoritative position in a religion.
    2. Atheists care because they are obliged to take up the slack every time a religious person decides they need 10 minutes off at work to pray or refuse to do their job because it contravenes their religious obligations
    3. Atheist boys can't join the boy scouts, Even though the boy scouts receive public funding.
    4. In america, it is illegal for an atheist to hold public office or testify in court in seven different states.
    5. Your current presidents father thought atheists shouldn't be considered citizens of america
    6. The existence of "blue laws" restrict what an atheist can do based on other peoples religious beliefs. In many states it is illegal to buy a car or alcohol on sundays
    7. Atheists care because, In america, Religious organisations are tax exempt, Even though they have their phrases on the money and seek public funding.
    8. It matters to atheists because religious organisations are trying to control what is taught in school and attempt to subvert science education because it contradicts what is written in their primitive story.
    9. It also matters because religious organisations, for religious reasons, Are standing in the way of stem cell research which could save, prolong and improve the lives of millions.

So basically, To paraphrase north, Keep it to yourself and there wont be a problem. The second your, or anyone else's, personal choices limit what i can do i am going to have a problem with those choices, whatever they may be.

Oh ok, It just seemed that the evidence kind of supports the claim that muslims are guilty of the very charge you put to atheists in a far more compelling way. I guess you must just be a blinkered hypocrite then.

Do i really have to give you guidance on where to throw stones in relation to your glass house?

So what are you saying? We are allowed to act like prats because muslims do? That's the logic of a 7 year old lol

I don't think we can compare the purchase of an advert on a bus with the incidents i posted. Like i said, The evidence suggests that muslims are guilty of that charge in a far more compelling way. So no, I'm not saying atheists can behave like prats because muslims do, I am saying muslims act like "prats" in a far more compelling way. that's to say, whatever atheists are guilty of, It's not even remotely comparable to the incidents i posted.

So with that said, If you want to call groups of people "pissy" and "total cunts" i think it would be best directed towards a group more deserving of such crude criticisms.

Yeah; atheists do act like brats. In fact, they have done the unpardonable crime of running an ad campaign on a bus. Oh my goodness; how offending can it be for the soft-natured believers...

I am not an atheist but I agree with all those points. Religion is at its best when it is personal and private in my opinion. I don't understand why a person cannot be a (insert religious practitioner) without causing anyone else distress or infringing on them.

I wasn't reffering to the bus campaign, i couldn't care less about that, what i was reffering to is this:

Now is this the atheist mindset on anyone that dosen't hold the same beliefs as them?

And Stox don't reply with "Oh but Muslims...." I DONT CARE, we're not talking about muslims.

I think what you meant to say was "I don't want to talk about muslims because it exposes me as a blinkered hypocrite when people post instances of muslims being guilty, In a far more compelling way, Of the very thing i accused atheists of".... Which is the intellectual equivalent of putting your fingers in your ears and singing "lalala i cant hear you".
