Using Your REAL Photo For Your Avatar

I like it when people use their actual photos for avatars. It makes the person seem more real, or something. Sometimes I use my real photo, sometimes I use a picture of a buffalo. Sometimes I do both (like now).

Both is good, I like variety. I like using my photography which 99.54% of the time does not include my face so

 

I would use my real photo for my avatar if I ever find the right angle for my face to be at least presentable

 

I saw this thread so i thought i would update my avatar with a pic of me . I do agree that you feel more trusting when dealing with someone when you can see their face, it's more personal.

I could see myself being "sucked in" to agreeing to a deal more easily by someone with a pic of themselves I consider good looking (like the one maddiseo has)

Sad... but I doubt many, if any, of us can avoid being influenced by our own prejuduces based on appearance.

I will use my real photo as my avatar, once I hit up 3K posts, but right now i like my Devilish avatar.

It\s kinda awkward to see yourself within every and each post you have.

 

Yea I agree, but I've gotten used to it myself and have switched to using that photo (mine) for the other forums/ social sites I frequent. It just feels more "genuine."
