I can't believe people are bitching about MSN, Its just a update.

What other SE can you get top 10 SERPS in 4 days with a new domain & site? And the traffic actually converts/clicks more than other SE users.

If it was consistent(?) I guess I wouldn't care but to be bumped from first page to nowhere back up again for no reason is a somewhat disheartening.

When I get to first with Yahoo it usually sticks but MSN throws my sites around like a ping pong ball.

The thread Title is too funny...that's what got me too peek at it :D

Maybe msn, is filtering out there engine, harder filters, did you ask it to do the search without filtering like most search engines allow, if not im pretty sure they have a pruner or something that deletes the pages after a while. Remember Msn is growing and they are trying to only have the pages that fit the persons keywords. They are going to have alot of bugs until they get it all straightened out.

I don't give a damn about MSN, the percentage of visitors from msn isn't even a tenth of what google or yahoo are bringing in.

I strongly hate google for dropping almost an entire website from index and then not index it back again. Now it has only 3 pages of over 1000.
Hope this does not happen in MSN update.

I guess this is happenning because they to much idolized google lol.... when google drop index pages in just fiew days msn drop index pages too.

When msn on their beta testing their bot, crawl each site like crazy but this days their bot is now lazy. Seem mr gates cost cutting, don't want to buy larger data center. just my 2 cents

My sites have been falling greatly as of late as well but it doesn't matter because MSN barely even sends me traffic.

Am I the only one here not affected negatively with this latest update? My rankings are unchanged. Top 5 for main keywords phrases. Basically the same position I have been in for the last few months.

Your not alone, I haven't been effected by this either on any of my sites. Actually, I had not idea that anything was going on with MSN until I seen this thread title and just had to take a look.

one of my old sites has dropped in rankings on MSN, but a relatively new site is coming in rankings. I wouldn't say that this is wrong, because the new site is itself atleast a year old (with more than 600 pages) while the old big site is more than 8 yrs old. However, MSN needs to change whatever its doing to bring the old and established websites again in the rankings.

My drop from the ranks of MSN seem to have started in mid-June. After a few years of reliable serp rankings in the 2K+ range scaled down to 44 something. No real changes in my site that would cause penalties that I can see. MSN not so reliable these days. Hope it's like everything else in cyberword... temporal...
