Hello, I really hate osCommerce. Do you know other free shop? Eventualy a shop that use a template system? Thanks
Prestashop looks pretty sound. Magento is where its at though. Complete separation of design from the logic bits. You can design it however you want without being stuck to a dodgy framework. This is one of my favorites someone did with magento http://www.magentocommerce.com/blog/comments/the-recycled-retriever-on-magento/ You can scroll through the blog, there is lots of highly professional stuff posted there. Alot of high dollar companies are porting over to magento. It has loads of very powerful functionality out of the box, like run multiple stores, or shopping malls if you will, from the same admin panel. http://www.homedics.com/ It does take a few days to get your head around a few things though. It can seem a bit daunting at first but once you get the hang of it you can produce much more professional work. Loads of screencasts on usage and template creation here http://www.magentocommerce.com/media/screencasts Oscommerce is a trainwreck. I fully understand your sentiments on that front hope that helps, Nigel
Yes, Magento looks very exciting. Definitely has a "daunting" aspect from my point of view. I'd only consider myself at a beginner/intermediate PHP level, even after using it for several years. I only know enough to accomplish what I need online! For Magento implementation, I think I'll find an outsourced freelancer!
Check out this shopping cart extension that works with Joomla. VitueMart: http://extensions.joomla.org/component/option,com_mtree/task,viewlink/link_id,129/Itemid,35/
