Which of these two link styles are more SE-friendly? I'm building a flash arcade site and was just wondering which would be better? http://www.website.com/category/game-name/ or http://www.website.com/game-name/ As an example: http://www.website.com/action/ultra-fighter/ or http://www.website.com/ultra-fighter/
As an example: http://www.website.com/action/ultra-fighter/ or http://www.website.com/ultra-fighter/ Top one does as you get another keyword action
this will be more better http://www.website.com/game-name/ coz when any game is famous, some one will search online for that game name, so if you are using game name in url, you will get more chances for ranking and also with ranking you can get visitors. main thing for url is popularity and higher search phase for game, game name or game theme. here, if you use "game name" like ("super mario") this will be best, instead of "game of coins"
All your link structures are search engine friendly but the thing is that whether u want to use keywords in the URL or not.......as per my view http://www.website.com/game-type/game-name/ structure i will recommend and as per that structure http://www.website.com/action/ultra-fighter/ is the good b'coz it gives both game type keyword and game name keyword in URL..
yup, Remember that the - actually cancells out the second word. like my-keyword google only sees my-= ? this may be false but or old. but try not to use the - in any domain name. Just our view.
Where, exactly, did you hear that, "RankonTop"? Most SEs will view hyphens (-) as word separators. For example, stylish-blue-widgets.com would be viewed as: stylish blue widgets.com. Edit: Sorry, the notion that hyphens somehow "cancel out" the rest of a string is absolutely ridiculous. Would like to emphasize that again.
I'm putting my main site niche instead of category. Something like that for a download site ect. http://www.website.com/download/game-name/
It was an honest mistake , nobodys perfect. we reseached it and yes a minus sign does not effect anything. as for pointing it out nick, you could be more forum friendly and resppond with a ( rank on Top I dont think thats correct,.. check here.) See how nice of a tone that sounds like. So.. anyway.. good luck and peace.
