How to stop people accessing the files on my server.

As the title says, how do you do this ?

Just add a index.html file and no one will be able to see the files on the server

 

yeah its the simple way, if you have files in folder like ursite.com/folder simply upload index.html to ursite.com/folder no one can access it.

 

Cpanel has an internal option aswell

 

create a .htaccess file and put "Options -Indexes" inside that
