Gmail Blocking Paypal Emails?

Looks like gmail is blocking all paypal emails. I got a payment to my gmail ID which was not yet added to my paypal account. When I tried adding it, paypal as usual sent a verification email to the gmail ID and I have not received this verification email for the past 12 hours. Anyone's got a workaround to this problem?

EDIT : Got the Emails. They were just delayed by about 12 hours.

Got them. They were just delayed. The delay happens only in the case of gmail.

btw, I guess gmail has blocked mails from paypal at least once before

I have not had a bit of trouble with paypal check your settings.

 

Working fine here.Gmail has blocked mails from paypal at least once before too..Don't worry.This is only a temporary phenomenon.

 

I am a seller on eBay - Several of my 'Buy it Now' auctions require an immediate payment. Normally, I receive two emails immediately following a sale. One email from eBay, a second from Paypal. However, over the past 2-3 days, my PayPal emails have been severely delayed, some of which have taken almost 12hrs to receive. I haven't changed any settings with my GMAIL account so I am not sure where the problem resides. I actually use Outlook to send and receive through GMAIL. Initially, I thought it was something on PayPal's end but I'm not so sure anymore. I'll continue to monitor this thread to check and see if anybody else can contribute any helping tips.

One thing I like about using Gmail for Paypal, is that I can setup "filters" in Gmail that forward a copy of Paypal emails to my mobile phone via my providers SMS gateway.

 

As the others said, I also have never experienced this problem, i find it very strange!

 

I had the same problem. I've been using gmail with paypal for months now and I get a lot of emails on a daily basis too. Its been over 2 days now since the problem began and I'm still seeing a lag of about 6 hours.

 

Same here, haven't gotten any notification from Paypal to my gmail in two days.

 

Has same problem Yesterday.

DP member told me payment was sent. But I didn't received any emails. So I logged into paypal and had to check it over there.

But the emails did came and they came after 20 or so hours.

 

Yea sometimes email is delivered after 24 hrs

 

PayPal is having some problems with the payment emails again (like a month back and they fixed it) and there is a delay in getting these emails.

 

It's a regular feature. Paypal at times has issues with sending mails.

 

I don't think the problem is with paypal since I'm able to receive mails from paypal on all non gmail ID's on time, always.

 

peepin2me, I have faced the same problem with paypal and gmail. I think it is a issue with paypal not with Gmail. But everything is normal now.
