    Hey guys,

I was wondering the benefit of having a bunch of people stumble your website. I understand it helps getting it indexed, but what if it is already indexed? Will it increase your rank in the SERPS? Is it worth doing for an older website?

If it's good content you will get tons of immediate traffic and possibly a few mentions in blogs etc.. If it's just stumbling for the sake of stumbling I doubt it will help with the SERPS. Just my 2c

Yea and unfortunately if people are stumbling it the traffic is obviously not targeted. So I suppose the only benefit is to get the content indexed.

If your website / page is good some bloggers might take fancy to it and blog about it. That's the only advantage I see :)

If you get lots of stumbles you get the initial traffic spike from stumbleupon but it dies down.

Hm how much traffic can you get, and should you do it for every page or just your homepage.

It takes at least a handful of thumbs up to get decent traffic for more than a day or two and you need to keep getting thumbs up to keep it that way.

I posted a good video on my blog and it got over 50k page views and is still going a month later with up to 200 or close to it page views a day. Its not quality traffic though and I would not waste my time with promoting a lot with it. Try sharing one thing a week thats great. It may get shared around the internet.
