The best thing to do is ask the sender to give you the Transfer Confirmation Number and call the bank up. They will be able to tell you the status of it.
You need to contact the person who had sent/initiated the wire transfer, Inturn the said person can contact his bank from where he had sent the funds, The bank will be able to track down the payment in no time as everything is online status of the payment will be right on the bank officials screen
Did u give them correct SWIFT and ROUTING CODE? Also ask the sender to give u reference no so that u can check with bank.
You can also ask the bank to do a trace of the transfer. I believe most banks charge about $25 to do a trace from SWIFT network.
few things i would like to say. you should have taken all safety measures about "Wire Transfer" . Also by looking at it. Contacting the person is the best. because he have sent you right... so contact him and ask the details.
Hi I have seen this many times in the past and inevitably it is one of several issues 1) The sender DID NOT actually send the funds and is telling you a story 2) You either provided incorrect wire instructions and/or someone in the course of the wire transposed numbers or made some form of typo which would cause the wire to NOT be received correctly. In any even, the best solution is to have the sender RECALL the wire. This ALWAYS causes the receiving bank to either post it correctly and/or return the funds to the sender. RECALLING is always much more effective than doing a simple trace, as the recall requires ACTION on the part of both the sending and receiving bank. Ask sender to scann and send u the receipt of wire payment. Forward it to your bank and they will take care....
I would like to asked if what wiree transfer have you used to send the money if its xoom you must just need to checked the routing code same as western union and if others stuff like your bank then you need to checked it with your bank as you might have wrong information used or address was different from what you have. Before someone send me money but they have wrongly input different country so I just asked the person who sent it to work out the problem
