It's a tough one. You have gone down the brave route of finding a niche that you beleive in. It'll be slightly harder to find affiliates i'd imagine. I'm not 100% sure though that I see the link between shells and coins??
depends on how much you want to invest.. i think affiliate programs like cj, affiliatewindow charge $$$$ figures to open a merchant account. if you are trying small scale try putting few items for sale in ebay as well
