Hi everyone, I have been assigned a task to write a Viral magnet article. Since its a relatively new way of writing and I am not too familiar with it, can someone help me with the guidelines please? Any help would be highly appreciated and I wouldn't mind paying someone to collaborate with me on the writing work. Kindly PM me on DP or mail at Thanks.
Wow that's a rare one, I suppose you should get some articles related to this viral magnet then refer and get to know it more first.
@locomotion - I did try but there isn't much information floating around on it unfortunately. Thats why I hoped that someone here could help me out with it.
Neena, as a more experienced member here, I would like to tell you only one thing- "do not pick up assignments that you are not familiar with". Its always better to let your clients know your niche' preferences and then proceed Regards, Jeewant
I'd advise you to discuss it with your client only. None other than your client can tell you better what exactly he wants. Your client would appreciate your approach. And as Jeewant already said, I'd second. You should not accept projects that you're not familiar with. Or you should discuss all details with your clients before you undertake. As far as I see, viral magnet articles style looks like more of high pitch articles used for link baiting and marketing. So, you can highlight the most prominent and attractive points of your niche in the article. You may need to make sure that they're written in an engaging style from a friendly opening to a convincing conclusion. Again, I'd suggest you to discuss and confirm with your client. It'd be better to discuss than delivering unexpected work that can disappoint him and spoil your business relationships. Cheers!
Agree. You should discuss it with your client if you're not sure what he wants. In fact, it's one of the questions you should ask before getting job. Good luck. - Cedric
Thank you all for stopping by and replying to my thread. @ Jeewant - it is just a style of writing and I have discussed it with my client. I have a detailed brief, just that I am yet to see any concrete articles online to be able to style mine. @ chillingbreeze - You've got it bang on, the viral magnets are used to attract traffic through word of mouth as the articles themselves are supposed to have information that people would love to discuss or pass around. The problem is that my client has also read about it somewhere and knows that it would attract more traffic to his site and thats why he's asked me to write this article. For him too it is something new which he is willing to try out. So I thought if someone here has done this sort of a thing before, they could guide me to do it really well rather then my own trial and error efforts.
I've check and look up the phrase 'Viral Magnet' it seems that there is no such thing. Could it be spelling error?
I think this should be all the information you need, but if you need more, just let me know: http://www.copyblogger.com/10-sure-fire-headline-formulas-that-work/ http://www.blogstorm.co.uk/linkbait-beginners-guide/42/ http://www.cornwallseo.com/search/2007/02/09/the-enormous-linkbait-list/
