Hello World! i m new in programming and i hv developed an classic asp based website www(dot)playndownload(dot)com can any one plzzz tell me why yahoo has just index one page of this site while google has added nearly all ? is this because it is developed using asp ? plzz help
all search engines are able to spider a website these days - there was a brief period where engines had trouble with querystring based dynamic sites but not now - make sure you manually submit to all the search engines and wait a couple of weeks
At first, I was having issues with getting Yahoo to index my ASP based site. After building a sitemap, and submitting to Yahoo, I am seeing that 99% of pages are now indexed. New pages are indexed within a few days of the Yahoo spider downloading the updated sitemap. $0.02, keep the change.
I have lots of asp sites, asp.net actually, that are indexed in Yahoo, but they are really, really slow to do add other pages.
they are not that much fast when they load up in browser.. they take more time that Php to load.. In that case they are not user friendly..
You've got two questions here: one in your title, and one in your post. Q: Are classic ASP-based sites user-friendly or not? A: Neither. There is absolutely nothing inherently uf or non-uf about ASP or any other scripting language. ( though it is probably the easiest scripting language for someone to learn ). As for the Yahoo! indexing issue, Yahoo! is rather a PITA for sure. One major issue I'd be concerned with on your site is that it resolved with and without www. -- so, you've got two mirrored sites full of duplicate content. Google seems to perfer your indexing without the www., so that's a bad sign. This isn't so easy to deal with on a Win server, though, without ISAPI_Rewrite installed. My recommendation, aside from "patience", would be to deal with this issue. . . . and frankly, as this should be set globally on the server, I'd expect that your host doesn't have ISAPI_Rewrite . . . . so you'll probably want to look at changing to a host that does. Wouldn't be a bad idea to get rid of your querry strings either. This can also be done with ISAPI_Rewrite or with LinkFreeze.
Hi i think asp is user(programmer) friendly because: after asp.net, they intend that classic asp is dead, but after long time , i and you and many many others work with that language, what is meaning with it. the language is user friendly, but... if you just start to learn it , that is a good ide , if you learn the same time also PHP, that is i recommend you
