Getting unique traffic

I have launched a forum one year ago,i have applied many SEO techniques but i am still not getting relevant traffic and mostly under spammer attackes.
can any one suggest as i m new in DP

 

It depends, what is you forum about? What keywords are you targeting? What techniques are you using?

You may have done on page optimization, but remember that off page optimization is also very important. Keep building those quality links. Google keep updating the backlinks from different sites, and in the process drops some. So, it keeps everyone on their toes to keep building the backlinks.

3. From where you are getting traffic (currently)?

4. Have you set your Title, Meta Tags, and other things correctly?

 

It depends on your niche! It would be better if you will share on what kind of niche is your forum. All I can suggest, is to start your promotion into other forums! Forums that are also related to your forum niche!

 

what is your niche? You can promote your site on other forums related to your forum with the link to your forum in your sig, that could help get traffic

 

you have get the forum name spread out heavily and attract people. Then PR is also an important factor. it will take some time.

 

You have to start good discussions yourself on the forum and also write interesting and useful articles just like you would do on a blog. That's the only good and long lasting way to get people to register.

 

Build backlinks and increase PR of your site to get more traffic from seach engines.

 

when you say optimised what have you done?

 

You need some incoming links....try making posts intended as link bait and see how that deos for you.

 

its a forum... I guess forum is not SEO friendly enough... different with DP. DP is the one example for SEO friendly forum

I love that phrase. Very true.

 

Everyone isn't good at SEO nor are they good at creating "sticky" content. There are millions and millions of websites, and billiions of pages. Who has time to read them all? And even if your site/plan/content is better than your competitors you still have to get the eyeballs in front of it, then have something worth returning too.

 

More members will add fresh content to your forum in a daily base and this will help your ranking. Advertise you forum to attract more members.
