My actual CPC is WAY higher that the estimated CPC that Google provided

I am a noob, so forgive me if I am missing something basic. I just signed up for Google AdWords. I chose only keywords that Google's Keyword Tool said have an Estimated Average CPC of $0.05. After one day, my actual average CPC is over $1.00. What's up with that? I feel like Google raised their price by 20x. Help!

Google doesn't like your landing page.
    Probably.

Their estimator is 100% crap, never rely on it for anything.

most likely its a QS of your keyword. Improve it. lower QS would result in adwords being hungry to steal your pockets.
