How many people make a living on DP?

I wondered - how many people make a living primarilly from DP? By this I mean, perhaps it is one of your main sources of income... or it has allowed you to go freelance as a web designer, developer or SEO...

I am working as an SEO for a company, but as perhaps everyone does I would like to work for myself... and wondered if it is possible to do this with the help of DP.

    Cheers

I make next to nothing from DP - not that I try very hard - I think I've been in BST about 10 times in 3 years.
My clients are in the 'real world' :)

Yes its good to have real world business too definitely...

Do you think making a living off DP would make you someone insane?

Would be terrible if you built up all your contacts / customers then got banned or couldnt log in...

Perhaps the mods should take that into account when giving refractions... to them its just another person breaking a little rule... but to some people it may mean that day / week they make no money for food....

    My business is mostly offline.
I'm here to relax, learn something, and make small cash.

Which is exactly why people should read the rules and FAQs if DP is so important to them.

And it's INfractions, not REfractions - unless there's some new kind of light bending punishment being handed out that I'm not aware of :p

Of course I can make some money from DP forum,
but it is far not enough to support me to be a freelance.
Therefore I have my own job as a webmaster and internet market salesman in a company.

I make next to nothing off DP. Sell a site or domain every so often but don't rely on this forum to make money

I think there are people living from dp, I dont mean buying a house or a car. Becuase count it this way, say u make $20 profit every day, there are many people who make hundreds every day through affiliates. so 700 - 1500 may make u eat and drink ;)

    1) You can't make a living of a Forum!
    2) Even If you can. don't depend on it.
    3) Try to supplement your Income from the forums. Try to set-up your own site offering your SEO services and focus on building contacts and goodwill.
    4) If you are still in love with forums, then atleast diversify your income, do business at many forums, go to sites like elance or getafreelancer and follow rules.
