Hi, Mods, I am really sorry that I may look like I am doing some of my self promotion! But this is really important to me. I AM NOT doing promotion of any sorts people! This is a genuine question. So mods please dont screw my ass for this! Okay PHP developers! I have been studying pear standards recently. I just wrote something on my blog about a question that has come to my mind. I have been researching a bit on the internet, but I couldnt find an answer to this question. Please read my blog entry http://loveofphp.com/php/wondering-about-pear-standards.html, and tell me what do you think! All reviews appreciated. Thanks imphpguru PS.. Mods... again.. this isnt a promotional scheme for me . I havent even had my signature links... So not here to promote myself. This is serious discussion . Thanks for understanding.
You think this question was put here for self promotion?? Man... please... I really dont need a promotion for me. Just need an answer as of now!!
The filesize of your script doesn't reflect the amount of memory that's used, because the script compiles the same regardless of whether you use spaces, tabs, or nothing, and it's the compiled script that's run, not the script file itself.
Meh, fair enough. Well, I think your article is ridiculous. It's whitespaces, how long do you think PHP needs to find out that it has to ignore them? I'm all for optimization, but this is just ridiculous
Yeah, this is clearly going down the wrong road, but it's great that you're trying to think laterally. Contemplation like this is an essential part of moving forward with your knowledge of the language. Plus which, as a direct result of posting this you're now much wiser!
