how much traffic is sufficient for a new website hi guys i am running a software site.its only 2.5 month old. i am getting 35 visit from google daily... whats your opinion?? is the traffic sufficient for a new website... please suggest... Thanks

It would quite difficult for anyone to predict what traffic a website should be getting without doing some homework. A website traffic would depend on the domain they are in, the keywords they are targeting, etc. etc. For example if I target 'electric toothbrush' as my keyword and that keyword approximately gets 200 visitors a day. So depending on my organic I can fairly predict the traffic I should be getting. In your case you say you are getting 35 visits from Google, that is Google organic traffic. Now if you nearest competitor is getting 300 organic traffic a day then your traffic is no good. If they are getting say 50 odd then I would it is great because you have a new website at hand. So you see the numbers are quite relative and hence a judgment would not be called for.
This depends upon how much marketing you are doing for your website. If you are doing a lot and spending more than 4 hours per day and getting this much visitor then it is not good but without anything if you are getting this then this is pretty good.

Go to https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal. Type in your keywords, and see the approximate number of searches that it gets. Then view your 35 as a ratio of that search number, and decide for yourself whether the number is adequate We have seen new websites receiving heavy traffic within a few days of their launch, so there is no standard as such to measure whether 35 is good for a new site or not.
