Yes Title tag is very much important in terms of SEO, Title enriched with the keywords is better crawled and indexed by the Google against those keywords, and hence it helps in building your SEO, traffic and ultimately ranking in search engine. Title is one of the on page SEO technique. However you must take in to concern that using keywords in title must not look like spamming
When you type in Google certain keywords to search, all you see in the results are the title of the websites on top of your searches. In my opinion, title and description are one of the most important on-page optimization factor in optimizing a site. It is where you can place the keywords crawled by the bots. And I think that having a good title and description could mean rankings on the SEs.
Yes !! Title and Subject of your Blog Post is really very important. Try to use as much as keywords in your subject but remember not to do Keyword spamming. Your site will be crawled and indexed faster in search engine.
Title and Description are both the important factors in getting rank in SEs and as well as fetching visitors. Note: Descriptions are also important.
is including the name of the site in the title a good idea? Also, which of the following two is better? site name | content content | site name
I agree, the <title> is the most important. Putting your site name in the title is not good. It takes up characters that are needed for keywords. But if you must, put the site name at the very end.
My site name is PimpMyIcon.com. I currently have all pages' title like this: siteName - page info. I will probably switch it and move the site name to the end. My question now is should i split up the site name into individual words (Pimp My Icon) or keep it together? On one hand, i want the site name recognition as a brand name. On the other, icon is a keyword that probably isn't being picked up with the title because it's not its own word. Of course I'm using icon as a keyword so i definitely get traffic but i see a lot of users search specifically for just pimpmyicon. What do you think ?
