I maintain an eCommerce website which sells rap music. There are 2 albums which I have a major surplus of and I need to dump them fast! The pages that I'm selling them on I've tried to optimize the very best I can. The title, keywords, and description all match up perfectly. I've added h1 & h2 tags, but still I cannot find these pages within the 1st 10 pages of the Google SERPS. Please take a look at the following pages, I need your help desperately! The first album I'm trying to be found for on Google with these keywords, as you can see it doesn't come close to being on the first page of the Google SERPS! Just from looking at this page the Meta info is all screwed up. Thats #1 It looks like you have a good amount of backlinks though. I would redo the meta....and some fresh copy to the bottom of the page....buy into a few directories...and get some links from authority sites. You can shoot me pM if you want more help!

And guess what, this thread is now on page one of google and also outranks your site. I would say your problem is probably duplicated content becuase you seen to come up on the last page of the google rankings. You are being penalised for something and that seems quite likely. CDBaby is probably seen as the original content and your site is possibly seen as copying it. You may do better to remove the content from googles view and write a brief description yourself about the cd's rather than relying on the content supplied from the record producer? If you want an immediate traffic boost though get the CD's listed on google shopping.

Really? According to SEO for Firefox, your domain has less than 2,000 links, while the competitor that is outranking you has 1,430,000. Instead of worrying about META tags, I would focus on increasing the amount of quality backlinks to your website
They work harder, they have more money, their sites look better, they have an insider, on and on. Ranking is not as important as conversion.
I guess you all are right. I need to focus on building backlinks. This thread ranks higher than my ecommerce site. Right now its dead last in the Google SERPS. Ouch! When you say "Ranking is not as important as conversion." Can you suggest or explain conversion that I can do for my site?
