Well, here's one thing to do (this will work for everyone rather than giving a number): Keep track of your bills. How much do you pay each month for: Gas Electricity Food Gasoline Cable? Phone? Insurance etc Continue keeping track of it, the more data, the more reliable the projection, especially since things like electricity or natural gas may be more in the winter. When you have a projected 12-month total of expenses, divide that by 365. That is your average daily expense over the course of a year ($X). Now, pretend you've lost all other sources of income (ie, your daytime job). Your goal for online (self-sufficient) income should be $X per day then.
Right now I make about $4 to $7 a day...with little traffic actually...I almost never break double digits on visitor traffic. But I will be happy with $30 a day.... Now if I can just get more traffic ...
Right now, I need 100/30=3.333333 dollar at least every single day (at least in average) so that I can get a fixed 100 dollar adsense check every month. Adsense pays at 100 dollars. It will enable me to pay some of my bills including telephone bills etc. with less work on my part.
That's the way to look at it. Start out trying to make enough to pay for your electric bill. Then your electric bill and your water bill for example.
Well i have been doing this for 1 year and i am at 40 a day. My goal for 2nd year is to reach 100/day So if i can hit 100/day i will be very happy. Goog luck all
