I am worried I am going to get banned... Need advice!

I've noticed quite commonly lately that a lot of people are getting banned for unknown reasons, not necessarily invalid clicks but other reasons such as "to protect advertisers" and I am worried that because most of the websites I am running with Adsense are web proxies, do you think I will be banned because of it? Google are known to be trigger happy when it comes to disabling accounts and I don't want it to be me!

I have thought about starting a blog so that proxies are not the only source of Adsense income for me, but will it help when most of my revenue comes from proxies?

    Any advice?

I dont think anyone has figured out exactly what Google means when they say "..to protect advertisers.." .. But Google has made it clear over the last year that they are only interested in allowing Adsense on "quality" websites that add to the value of the internet.
    Interpret that however you like.

So basically, if they see that all my revenue comes from proxies they will just ban me because they aren't "quality" websites?

I havnt heard of a rash of proxy sites getting banned.. I know guys that run entire networks of proxies w/Adsense with no problems.. On the other hand, i read posts here at DP of guys w/proxies getting banned all the time..

I guess the answer is nobody really knows WTF Google is doing on any given day.

i think it must be someone(could be your competitor or someone doesn't like ur site) reported you to google so that you were banned. My rational is like this: it is very difficult to detect this by a machine(i.e. a program), and google has too many publishers that they cannot do it manually. Thats why I think there must be someone telling google about you.

Can be to much clicks, small traffic alot of clicks, proxy sure can be if they feel like it. It is also a problem that different countries have different people and rules.

to protect advertisers = lots of clicks and no conversions is bad for advertisers.

Since most people looking to use a proxy click Adsense ads by mistake, this is not a great ROI for advertisers.

Might want to start building quality sites that offer value to the targeted user or find another way to monetize your proxies.

Yep, I'm definitely going to have to look into other ways of making income from proxies, as Adsense just doesn't seem viable anymore...

Godaddy has premium parking for $9.99 per month. Hook the sites up there and you'll make some nice money!

To be honest promoting affiliate programs is more profitable than running adsense on your site, I would suggest that you do not worry too much about that and simply follow their TOS.

my advice is to begin using other advertisers too alongside google adsense. Like bidvertiser, paypopups, etc.
if you think you are risking your adsense account atleast other advertisers will be still their for you.

If you think you have cheated then one day you will get banned but if you have been a good publisher so far you don't have to worry.
I have experienced on those stuffs like "to protect advertisers".
This means if google is paying you for the clicks and the advertiser running the website do no get organic or targeted traffic from the clicks then you will get banned surely.

I have been webmaster for the past 10 months and i have a guru experience on adsense and websites stuffs.
I have done all type of SEO and i know what works best.

You won't be banned until the end of the month before they cut checks. That is Google's MO.

That's exactly what I'm fearing! It's only when they have to part with their money do they take action. I haven't ever done anything to jeapordise my Adsense revenue, but still I've heard stories where innocent people get their accounts disabled once they hit the payroll..

I would say there are very few "innocent" people who had their accounts banned.

Especially on the internet where people are very desperate to make money and find no reason not to defraud advertisers and affiliate networks and others trying hard to earn money through hard work.

Not referring to you in particular so do not take it that way. :) More often than not the innocent webmaster would be smart priced as opposed to being banned.

I was referring to the statement where you heard "innocent" people had their accounts banned. I doubt they would see themselves as anything else. ;)

A lot of people dont even use adsense as others pay better. Try out Kontera for instance.
