What's the Right Way in Submitting articles to Directories?

I have 10 articles which I have written for article directories. I intend to send them to 35 directories, a list consisting of top 10 directories (including ezinearticles.com) and 25 secondary one. Is it okay if I submit first to ezinearticles and the rest of the top 10 article directories, and send next time to the secondary 25 directories? If only if the reason that submitting to all 35 at the same time can be really taxing. By the way, an important question: is it really okay with Ezinearticles if I submit to other directories those articles that I already submitted to them? Thanks to all who will respond.

I think it is not really okay with EzineArticles that you would submit the articles you submitted to them to another directories....

Wow, really? But why would they include ezinearticles among the list of directories that one can submit at the same time? Or do I need to have a set of articles solely for submission to ezinearticles alone, and have another batch of articles for the rest of the article directories?

I really wanted to submit in order to increase backlinks to my websites and improve their SEO. And another question, do my sites automatically earn backlinks once an article with their url are accepted by article directories? Do all directories do this? Providing backlinks to sites? Thanks again.

I have one regular client who's been submitting articles to ezinearticles since the day he first ordered to us. Roughly, around 1500 articles and most them are found in ezine.

Ezinearticles checks for duplicate content and keyword density of the articles. So I guess, this puts you in the situation of submitting articles in ezine first before to others.

With regards to backlinks, I think ezine has a "nofollow" tag in for all outgoing links. This means, you won't be credited no matter how many backlinks you put in your author's bio. This is why it is extremely important for your article to be valuable and convincing, so that the visitor will actually reach the bottom portion of your content and click your link manually.

Additionally, if they like your content, they may scrape or copy / paste it to their site, thereby providing you a backlink that you're looking for.

    Just my 2 cents.

    Best of luck.

@ anna & everyone else: So what should be done is to first submit my articles to Ezinearticles.com and once they publish it, it is then okay to send to other article directories?

One time, I submitted to ezinearticles and other directories all at the same time.. good thing ezinearticles still published my article.. What really is the rule of ezinearticles..do they accept articles also submitted to other directories?

    Can anyone really please clarify..

submitting to 35 article directories at a time is not really a lot. u can submit to all of them at a time. are u submitting each of your article to 35 directories meaning 10x35= 350 submission or just 35 submissions all togather? if only 35 submission, i wouldnt even worry and just submit

@sultanofseo: what I am worried about is ezinearticles.com not accepting my articles if it finds out that I also submitted them to other article directories.

There are some who say ezinearticles.com wants those articles submitted to them to be not submitted to other sites. Is this true? This is the issue that I want to be clarified. Does anyone know?

I think you can submit one article to a bunch of directories and still those directories would accept that article. It is the same thing as to ezinearticles. As far as I know, ezinearticles checks duplicates on their own database. They don't want you to submit the same article on their database, but I think you are allowed to submit that article to other article directory. The issue of submitting the same article to different directory is not a huge issue on the directories themselves but it can be an a huge issue on the search engine. It can create duplicate content on search engines. But as to what you are asking. You can still submit an article to other directory even though you have submitted it to ezinearticles.

No, it is followed. It is simple enough to check. Article Base, though, is no followed.

You must submit to ezinearticles first and wait till it gets published before submitting into the other directories otherwise ezinearticles Won't accept it and may even ban you for trying to submit duplicate content.

As long as the content you're submitting is original (written or owned by you), you should be fine.

In the past I've submitted to both EZine and a list of other Article directories with no bother. But I'm now submitting only unique articles to EZine to see if this improves the usefulness of these submissions. No problems with rejection due to duplicate content - but its pro'ly a good idea to try to make your submission to EZine unique to them.
