SUV Models you can "Sleep" in?

Discussion in 'General Chat' started by domainer_10, Oct 18, 2008.

Are there any SUV models on the market that have enough room to sleep in, like where you can remove seats or something to make an area to sleep in with sleeping bags? I need something I can sleep in overnight on long trips.

well if you leave your seats down you could sleep really well in any car. you don't need sleeping bags for that.

I couldn't fall asleep in a seat like that. I thought i remember seeing an SUV years ago that you could remove the seats easily.

Yeah - you need a Big old British Landrover - they have a model called the "County" which is really long and you can kit it out to sleep inside.

But if you check the auto press you'll see you get a tent outfit that goes ON THE ROOF! You climb up a ladder and pull it up after you. It's designed for desert/jungle etc to keep you off the ground.

I've wanted a Landrover County for years.... when the Adsense riches kick in :p...I'm there!

I don't think that car would be appropriate for everyday use. Plus its probably outside my budget and hard to find here in the U.S.

Most SUV/Minivan models have seats that fold up out of the way to create floor space for cargo, or whatever else you need the extra space for. ;)

I have spent many nights "camping" with sleeping bags in the back of a Suburban.

Suburban is a little too expensive, but good to hear. Perhaps a lower end SUV model that is more affordable is what im looking for.

Yeah - understand, though the Landrover is great for everyday use. Its not hard to run. You do get them in the US if you search....but I know you maybe need something different.

Mitsubishi's Outlander looks like a good SUV, the front row folds flat and not sure about the middle row.

Be sure not to choose an hotel with parking valet.

All SUV have enough room to sleep in. Because I'm very kind to share my knowledge to others I will also share a picture of a very fuel efficient car with enough room to sleep in.

    Get ready for this!
