You should try placing your ads some where else on your site and try to see which placement gives you the best results that is pretty low for 1 year
What about keyword research? I think you both might have a problem with site optimization.. not optimized for consistent, good-paying keywords. Try google keyword tool, it's free. Also, advertising it on the right places is also important.. where does the 2k uniques come from?
1 year $160 is horrible..One month I earn more than $160..you should try the others making money online
daily hit is 2k unique. 87% of traffic comes from google search. all recipes are written by me from very old books. not copy - paste. my sites is asp.net coded and unique. i changed it from a web directory code. i tried every different positioning. my girl friend accepts new recipes and adds some. it was pr5 but pr3 now. what can i do more?
Seems pretty good. 1) What is the click-through rate? Did you try positions and colors based on guides? You should avoid 460x60 banners and graphic ads, they have low click-through. Blend ad URLs and ad text with your page's text color. Match ad title with link colors.. make them blue, preferably.. position ads in the middle of the page content. If you are doing all that, I'm clueless. 2) Check how much you earn per click. You're probably earning too little from clicks? Do you use a keyword tool to predict high-paying keywords? http://adwords.google.com/select/keywordToolExternal Position high-paying keywords specially around your ads. Use several related keywords with good competition on all your pages, to give your users many options of ads. If you change your pages' URL, title, headers text (<h1>) and meta tags to target new keywords wih better payouts, you might also change your PR and site position, so be careful, but if your current keywords pay too little it doesn't seem to help use adsense and get that many quality clicks from google for nothing.... Another option is to try and sell affiliate products, see if it pays more.
my traffic is 200-400/day, actually my second blog pays me all that first one is totally free for all (it's just for public service, Free RS links) and keywords r also less paying.
now getting a change these days after changing ads color, from the last two days income has increased.

Don't loose heart,try to increase traffic by posting quality articles,be a hard worker.This is the best opportunity we have got to earn online income.Do some exercise about Ads placement.Increase your knowledge by reading various blogs on how to increase income from Adsense? etc.etc.
