I was to display a summary of my post and then when you click read more have it go to a page that contains *only* the post and *not* the summary. Can someone explain to me how to do that? Thanks
i am using blogger, and wordpress both, self hosted. is it possible in blogspot blogs? like, i want to set read more in semservicesindia.blogspot.com can i do it in blogspot ?
Ya friend its very easy to add that below each post You can raed all About it here http://anshuldudeja.blogspot.com/2008/10/expandable-post-ie-display-post-summary.html
I followed all steps of your postings, and use it here, outsourcingoptimizationservicesindia.blogspot.com but still "Read More" text is not displaying.
I just checked your blog and found this - [...] at the end of each post but without a link. When I click the post title, it lead me to see the whole post. But I also see this read more... at the end of the post. I think you only need to transfer this <span class="fullpost"> to the upper portion of your post. Hope that helps.
I have checked your blog your poss has been summarized. But he problem is read more link is appearing after expandng the post. I suggest you only try and use my second method in post. And please chck the red line of read more has been added at proper place becuase you have not addded it a t write place place it rite and it will work fine.
Hey, Thanks Dear. I done it in linkbuildingservicesusa.blogspot.com and it's looking too cool yaar. Thanks For Useful Blogging Tips.
If it is wordpress, it involves coding. It is very simple to customize it. do you have some coding knowledge ? can you show us your blog? I don't mind help you out for free. PM me if you need my help. Thank you
Hey -- thanks for the offer, and I am using wordpress! I got it to do what I wanted it to do, only in so doing I introduced a problem. It seems that with the code I used, it strips out all formating from the excerpt, so, for instance, i can no longer include a flash mp3 player. Maybe there's another solution to my original problem. Or maybe there's a tweak that could be done to the code I used. Here's the code: <?php the_excerpt(); ?> <a href="<?php the_permalink(); ?>">Read the story</a> . I put it in home.php. Oh, and here's the blog: ittakesallkinds.org thanks!
Here is the code you should pate in your index inside the loop: For more you can read this article Minimalist WordPress Theme Development. Good luck!
