If you are using HTML I'd suggest a WYSIWYG editor like Dreamweaver, XsitePro. If you need a free one you can get a good one at http://kompozer.net.

However, blogging software while not as flexible can make life so much easier if you plan on having a large website. If you have Fantastico on your cPanel you can install it with a few clicks. If not, go to wordpress.org.

I've more or less switched to wordpress unless it's a small minisite.

But they took 72 hours to activate my domain. That is why my site is unavailable on web. Could you please tell me the details for creating new domains?

Silly question, but you did point your dns servers to your new webhost?

your index.html or index.php page will be your default (homepage).

If you're using Kompozer create a new folder, place all the files you'll be using (jpg, gif, zip, pdf, etc.) into that folder prior to linking to them. Save your HTML pages to that folder. This way it'll be point and click to hyperlink files.

Then when you're done FTP (easier and faster) or browser upload your files to your webhost's servers. You can find free FTP programs by Googling it. I use Filezilla, but it's a matter of preference.

First you need an idea of what you are going to make a website of. Once you get an idea pursue designing your website.

You will need to do more research before yo embark on a website project. Try to have somebody give you the details step by step and then browse around the net for tutorials. Do not be ashamed to ask stupid questions in this forum or any other related forums. Thats how you perfect your game.
