BEWARE OF ERICSHAN77771 or ARTICLE.REWRITER

TO MY FELLOW WEBMASTERS AND CONTENT WRITERS,

This person knows how to use the internet and work his way around it, meaning, to scam. He got away with scamming many times, until someone posted at Craigslist his SCAMMING WAYS.

You may tell me to put my butt where it should be. True, I'm not the aggrieved party here. But I'm a writer, too, and an online entrepreneur who knows how it feel to be not paid for something you have worked so hard for.

Now, onto the story of this deadbeat.

    This is his modus operandi:

To his clients he is MR. ERIC SHAN or ericshan77771 (profile: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/member.php?u=155935. He sells article packs and advertise them to be original. But why, of course, they are original! Freelance writers wrote it for him, all of whom didn't get even a dime from him. Webmasters here, thinking that he sells in GOOD FAITH, bought the article packs. Worse, he got positive iTraders because of the articles. Client says they were original and were written just great.

Now comes ERIC SHAN'S alter ego. To writers where he outsource his work from, he is MR. BRUCE JACOBS or

He goes to Craigslist and post a wanted ad for article writers. After collecting the articles from writers, he never get in touch with them. And the saddest part of it all, he never pays these writers even after he got payment from DP webmasters who made orders.

And by the way, article.rewriters is here, too (profile: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/member.php?find=lastposter&t=1069884. Funny thing is, he goes where ericshan77771 goes. Article.rewriters bumps threads Eric Shan created and make it appear that he's utterly interested to Eric Shan's products (view threads: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/search.php?searchid=14459705). Neat tactic, isn't it?

Eric Shan has been enjoying his acts and his being a genius until someone posted this at Craigslist: (link: http://manila.craigslist.com.ph/wri/883758320.html

I WROTE FOR THIS GUY BRUCE JACOBS.

    His e-mail is

I wrote many articles for him. He posted an ad here in Craigslist about $5 / 500 word article.

WHEN I SUBMITTED THE ARTICLES, HE NEVER REPLIED and I NEVER GOT PAID.
I LEARNED THAT MANY WRITERS WROTE FOR THIS GUY.

THEN I CHECKED OVER AT COPYSCAPE.COM AND I SAW THE ARTICLES THAT I WROTE.

ONE OWNER TOLD ME THAT HE GOT THE ARTICLE FROM THIS SITE:

    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1050632

I DEFINITELY SAW MY ARTICLES THERE.

THIS FREAKING GUY SOLD OUR ARTICLES IN DIGITALPOINTFORUMS AND WE NEVER GOT PAID FOR IT.

<== THAT'S THE E-MAIL OF THE GUY WHO SOLD THE ARTICLES.
    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/member.php?u=155935

I SUBMITTED MY ARTICLES OCTOBER 2, THE SAME DAY HE POSTED AND SOLD IT IN DIGITALPOINTFORUMS.

EVERYONE WHO WOULD NEVER WANT TO BE SCAMMED SHOULD REPORT THIS.
YOU SHOULD E-MAIL THIS GUY AND TELL THE WORLD THAT HE IS A FRAUD.

HE SELLS ARTICLES WRITTEN BY DIFFERENT PEOPLE.

I SPOKE WITH THE CLIENT WHO BOUGHT THE ARTICLES.

HE SAID THAT THE ARTICLES WAS SENT USING
    THIS E-MAIL ADDRESS:

IF YOU NEED MORE DETAILS, FEEL FREE TO CONTACT ME AND REPLY AT THIS E-MAIL.
I WILL SHOW YOU THE FULL DETAILS.

    PLS. REPORT THIS.

    WE NEED TO STOP SCAMMERS.

I SUBMITTED 20 + ARTICLES TO THIS GUY.
    ONE WRITER SUBMITTED 75 ARTICLES.
    WE NEVER GOT PAID.

REPORT THIS IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE SCAMMED"

I've emailed DP admin about this. I was told there is nothing they could do about it because ericshan has positive iTrading. Yes, positive itradings that came from works of freelancers who weren't paid at all. What if those people who bought from him give him a -itrader, would that be enough to expel him from this forums?

Anyway, I'll search more about this guy and let you know what I would find. In the meantime, if you've got anything about this guy, freely post it here so we could nail this bastard and remove him from this forums, once and for all.

    Hi,
I dont know if this is the right place to defend myself.

what you said about me outsourcing articles is true. But not from the email address you specifed.

As I understand, you wrote for Bruce Jacobs? And he did not pay you?

I understand how upset you are, but why take it on me?

I never hired you, offered you a job, dont even know who you are.

I mean can you show me just even one proof that I am involved in this?

Could you enlighten me a little bit? I'm really lost here

I reiterate: I don't work for Bruce Jacobs. I'm just spilling here the scamming techniques that you are employing (whether you do it alone or with the help of others).

I responded to the article for sale ad posted by a writer you scammed. And then I learned, by following her thread, that she was scammed. Everything that this person researched (as she wrote on her thread) points back to you.

But one thing is for sure: ERIC SHAN (you) and BRUCE JACOBS are one and the same.

Your excuse that you simply get articles from him is a lame excuse.

If it were true that it is you who outsource articles from him, how come from the thread you had created (selling the articles), it was him ASKING YOU how much your article packs are? Does it mean Bruce Jacobs is BUYING FROM YOU THE SAME ARTICLES THAT HE ALLEGEDLY MADE AND SOLD TO YOU?

    Jeez, we're not idiots.

Hey I also wrote for Bruce Jacobs - 65 articles .

He never paid for any write ups

    He just scammed me.

May be Eric or what I don't know, how are you connected to Bruce, I just feel bad for you that you scam people for nuts. You people don't have any respect for hard work. I would recommend every one on this forum to ban you. I reported everyone in all the writers forum about this. Now I will add your name as well.

Hey ERIC, If you have bought articles from Bruce or anyone, then you must help these writers who put their hard work. You must return these articles to the actual owners. ERIC, I know you do not need to prove anything, but if you, are at least genuine, then you must help avoiding scams. You must help in tracking such scammers.

Please , Don't Buy ARTICLES FROM THIS GUY - ERIC SHAN. And writers - Please don't write any articles for Bruce Jacobs. He may use other names or other IDs to scam people

Please, Not only Bruce Jacobs, if you find any people continuously making you work with a promise of month end payment, then don't write for them. Either ask for payment for the previous work or ask for advance payment. If you do not get any contract signed, then do not write. If there is a valid contract, then write without hesitation.

    AVOID BRUCE JACOBS.

Forum Guy if you are watching this thread, do help in taking some actions against scammers.

Wow, this is interesting.. This is a large scale scam right here.. I see 75+25 articles being mentioned right here in this thread. So assuming it's a 500 word article, it should be like 100, 500 word articles, so that's omg $500 worth of material right there.. >____>

    I can buy myself a PS3 with that! O___O

To avoid such things I write articles in batches of 2 or 3 and wait for payment, if non is forthcoming I tell him and don't write more. This is a good way to avoid shit like this.

    He scammed me also.

I bought 5 articles from him a few weeks ago and then happened upon the article titles on a PLR site for $1 (I paid $20). I emailed and asked for a refund and he gave me a sob story but eventually refunded $5 then $8. I guess I will never see the last $7 as his gmail account (also his paypal) is now non-existent.

I came over to see if I could find him here and found this thread.

For those who bought articles from him, they may be PLR if not stolen as some are asserting.

It's hilarious that Eric Shan actually replies to this. This is such a grotesque but interesting situation. I'd love to see how this turns out.
