In my opinion it is easier to start making money from a blog. Forums are very time consuming and can be tough to get started. I think with proper time and effort both can be profitable though.

Forums can be so tough to get started. You're success is totally dependent on the community around you. \it is for this reason that I would suggest starting a blog.

blogs are WAY easier. It takes a while for a forum to really gain momentum, if it ever does.

you really have to have a good community to have a good forum and that's really hard to build as forums are something that poeple would visit on a regular daily basis if they are really into that niche witch is really hard to make something like that. So, I'd say a blog is way easier

Don't people only visit blogs like once? And then they never visit again? There are no blogs that I continuously visit...lol. I just go there once, read the content, then it's good-bye forever.

    blogging.

forums is hard because there are so many competition out there and is hard to bring in traffic. You will need to spend a lot of time with the forum and make it active and bring traffic

I personally think blogs are easier. I have started successful forums but they took time and a lot of contacting people over and over to get them to join and running countless contests etc. I like blogging better but it also takes time and a lot of SEO and link building work.

I do not like blogging at all , and never even visit blogs and even when I do I never come back ...
Forums are well organized and are much more comfortable to browse , might be harder to start of cource , but hey I think its worth a try.

a blog can easily be monetized even it doesn't had a lot of traffic. You could accept paid reviews if you got a small percentage of readers.

Actually it matters , for me the paid reviews people do on blogs are not a " content" yet they receive money for this. So yeah..

That doesn't mean they're any less profitable. Ever heard of ad-blindness?
