    I was to display a summary of my post and then when you click read more have it go to a page that contains *only* the post and *not* the summary. Can someone explain to me how to do that? Thanks

    I just checked your blog and found this - [...] at the end of each post but without a link. When I click the post title, it lead me to see the whole post.

    But I also see this read more... at the end of the post. I think you only need to transfer this <span class="fullpost"> to the upper portion of your post.

    Hope that helps.

    Hey -- thanks for the offer, and I am using wordpress! I got it to do what I wanted it to do, only in so doing I introduced a problem. It seems that with the code I used, it strips out all formating from the excerpt, so, for instance, i can no longer include a flash mp3 player. Maybe there's another solution to my original problem. Or maybe there's a tweak that could be done to the code I used.

    Here's the code: <?php the_excerpt(); ?> <a href="<?php the_permalink(); ?>">Read the story</a> .
    I put it in home.php.
    Oh, and here's the blog: ittakesallkinds.org
    thanks!
