Hi all, desperate newbie looking for some help here.

I have just purchased a template from template monster and it's not as easy to modify as they made out!

I have all the relevant software (flash, dreamweaver, photoshop) but I can't see how to make the changes I need.

I basically just need text replaced, nothing fancy.

Is there anyone on here that can either guide me through it or give me a price to do it for me?

The template in question is www.templatemonster.com/flash-templates/20763.html

Thanks for any and all help.

Template Monster templates are relatively easy to edit for experienced designers, but they are certainly not for newbies in the design environment, my advice is to learn some basic html skills first and then you will find it alot easier to edit templates in future. Don't put off the inevitable!

Maybe for the html version, but html skills won't help you much updating the flash version.

The flash templates from TP were coded a while back by flash programmers used to old acionscripting from Flash MX and before, where the code wasn't so flexible. For that reason, the actionscript in TP monster template is all over the place making it a nightmare to update even for a good flash designer that only worked with Flash 8 and above, as the way of writing AS is very different.

Even changing some simple text can be a pain for a newbie...but I'm only talking about the flash version, which I personnaly don't even bother attempt to look into.
