Anyone has any ideas how to attract people to your your threads? I have post some threads but with few responds...

I've saw threads with over thousands views and responds! Is it something to do with the timing of posting and title?

I need advise from you guys!

How to you create a thread that attract readers?

    Attractive title.

    Good content inside it.

Timing does play a role too.

Like chunnumunnu said, it is very likely that for every successful thread you see, the OP has had quite a few unsuccessful ones. I would just write about what you know and go from there.

I once saw Nick Young did this at warrior forum. He use the # of the reply posted to choose the lucky winner. Very smart guy!

I was thinking a successful thread with lot of reader may have some factors beside the contents.

Factors like, timing of post, the kind of title to write, with Avatar etc.

    Anyone tried testing these??

You mean straight to the point??

Good and interesting title that will attract people to check it out and most importantly know when to post your thread. Don't post your thread when most potential readers in the US are sleeping.

Either you are charging too much for something or people just aren't interested in you product or service.

This will do nothing except piss people off.

I done a check and found out those thread with alot of readers are from 1pm to 8pm. This could be a important timing to post any threads...

Hmm.. I think i charge reasonable low and in fact there is the free service as well...It could be they are not interested...:(

a lot of it has to do with luck of the draw, where your thread ends up when you hit submit, and who is looking.

offer a free t-shirt and coffee mug? or even threaten them...jokes of course.

you have to motovate people. either try some ingenuity or another tactic to strike that passionate nerve that everyone has on a specific topic.

    cheers,

First of all, don't try to get attention by posting duplicate threads in multiple areas of the forum. This might get you some visibility, but it will get you some infractions as well. ;)

But sometimes threads can get buried quickly. Instead of bumping them, put a link to them in your signature. If someone is interested in what you have to say, they will post in your thread. If not, then maybe it's just not something people are interested in right now.
