What to do now?

    Hello, on the 27th Sep 2008 i have started a site for internet/tech news.

    I want to ask few questions.
    - Since there are a lot of internet/tech sites around, can i even have a small success with example 5k unique visits per day?
    - I have done some Link Exchanges with a 1x PR4, 4x PR3 and 3x PR2
    - What do i have to do now? Post daily new stuff and submit it to social bookmarking sites?
    - You can see my site in my signature.

    Any suggestions would be thankful...

    No, no didn't thinked that...They just help a bit on getting indexed and also a little for PR update.

    In that case adding new original (do not aggregate info!) information will help you to get new visitors every day.

    If you content is interesting to people - they will for sure add it to their bookmarks themselves - nothing is required from your side!

    Toktik is right. Another important thing to remember is your site is new. Getting a lot of traffic takes a lot of time. Avoid making mistakes like adding your site to a million worthless directories. Do not submit to link farms...most do it without knowing it by using those "submit to 10,000 search engines and directories" submitters. And please do not use automated "link exchange request" software...it is spam, and those worth exchanging links with ALWAYS ignore them.

    Certainly you can, you can get 5k, it's all depends on you.
    I am sure that there are a lot of internet/tech as well, but if you have enough content, enough content that actually peoples enjoy to read, you did it and you'll get the traffic.

    What you need to do now is to build more and more content, let your readers the option to subscribe, to share and to send email to their friends (all those widgets around might help you).

    after you do that, you have the option to ping and submit your posts to gain more traffic (some times help with SEO).

    Make sure you SEO your website with the correct anchor texts (inner links including).

    Blend your Adsense within the text.

    Now, regard social bookmarking, those only can help if you made entertainment posts since that's the most popular, else you'll need really a unique content.
