2 Way Link Exchanging vs 3 Way Link Exchanging

If 3 way link exchanging is better, why do you think some people still use 2 way link exchanging?

Is 3 way really better or does Google just figure it out anyway?

I believe 3 way is better. 2 way just exchanges the same PR juice being traded back and forth (there is a little plus to both but not much), assuming the PR's are the same on the link pages. No expert here... just my theory.

And also, the reason most people do 2 ways instead of 3 is probably because they may not have multiple sites in the same niche,.

Yes, 3 way link exchange is better.
Google won't figure it out if you know what you're doing.
Make sure you have honest partners otherwise it becomes a mess.

2 way or direct reciprocal links are not so great. Even if you exchange with a PR3, it only gives PR0 effect. three way linking is greater. It involves better PR transfer.

3 way linking is far better than 2 way linking.

3 way link exhancge works like this

Site A links to site B
Site B links to Site C
Site C links back to Site A

All three sites now have a relevant one way link

Also the main difference is you're not exchanging link in 3 way.

3 way links is severely Flawed!!!

If you do some research you will find that Google has caught on to 3 way links and is Slapping or de-indexing those websites that are using the 3waylinks service.

Think about it for a moment... It's sooooo easy for Google to detect when every time your website links to a website then that website links to one that links back to yours, it's a HUGE footprint and Google sees it.

Anther flaw is the fact that for every backlink you receive, you must give a link out, in other words if you want to get 100 backlinks you will have to link out to 100 different websites... What do you think that will do to your websites Page rank?

Also you have no control over the sites you link to or the sites that link back to you, therefore you will be linking to sites that are NOT relevant to yours plus you will be getting backlinks that are also NOT relevant

And finally. the day you stop your membership with the 3waylinks service you instantly LOSE EVERY BACKLINK, therefore you are forced to continue your membership.

Now lets assume you used 3waylinks and you managed to get your website onto the first page of Google in one month, in order to keep it there you would have to continue you membership with 3waylinks because the day you quit your membership you would lose every backlink and Google would drop your site like a Bomb!

So you would have to pay a monthly membership fee for the rest of your life

Vjelinin, We are not talking about PR3 stuff. A links to B. B links to C. C links to A. Google wont find out and it also makes it "relevant"

I don't know vstar, what if you do it within your industry niche and I could think of a better way of doing it.
    You have 3 sites (1-http://www.domaina.com, 2-http://www.domainb.com, 3-http://www.domainc.com).

    1 links to 2, 2 links to 3, 3 links to 1 (standard 3 way exchange).

My suggestion: 1 links to 2, 2 link 3, but 3 links to (#1's other site).

That way 1 pays to 2, 2 pays to 3, and 3 still pays to 1. #1's other site has no mention. Google has no way of knowing if they're in cahootz (sp?). Also industry niche doesn't matter, I found that one of my competitors is seriously gaming google by having a huge amount of clearly link exchanged links through this manner on sites ranging all sorts of topics. And he's dominating 1st place purely because of this - great tactic, but too risky for me.

I was a member of Jonathan Leger's 3waylinks system which at the time was considered to be undetectable

I will be the first to admit that my website experienced a huge boost in PR and moved up the SERP's very quickly.

Then word came that Google was cracking down and was intent on stopping these networks, and shortly there after my website fell right off of the map, to this day it is still not in the Google index.

I have since recreated that website with a new domain, different content and some quality one-way links and it is back on page one of Google
