I have been using zonealarm since ages......

Absolutely a great software and a must-have in my list.

Sygate is still my favourite firewall by far. I use it on all my Windows machines.

It's a trusty old workhorse, without any of that bullshit anti adware/spyware crap that most of the newer firewalls have.

Absolutely. There's no reason to upgrade to a newer firewall if Sygate does everything you need. Newer isn't necessarily better :)

Everyone should grab 5.6 while it's still around.

Kav, kis are great, but they are not free.

Free comodo ? Ok, I will check it. Is it powerful enough to pretect my PC like Kav and Kis ?

Ha, I'll tell you something strange. I decided to run the Comodo scanner today and while it was updating, the Comodo firewall told me it was trying to access the screen directly, then the firewall told me it was trying to access the keyboard to log keystrokes.

I think I'll uninstall Comodo and go with Sygate...used it before and it's a great free firewall.
