Black Magic is alive and well in certain parts of the world. It Is real.
"Witchcraft is commonplace in Cameroon, where the courts handle such cases as a matter of routine. "

Homebiz, Was that you saying black magic "is real" in the first sentence, Or is it a part of the stuff you copy and pasted?

    You should clarify between
"Black Magic is alive" and "Belief in Black magic is alive"

the fact that some people believe (and think they practise) magic doesn't mean magic exists.

It is probably him that added that, however if it is not him it fits his position perfectly.

He was defending a beheading in the other thread, but at the same time was being deliberately obtuse as to whether or not he believes in magic himself, then he creates a thread for the purpose of showing everyone that the idiocy is widespread therefore normal in an effort to show people that beheading of the illiterate women (witch) that was forced into a false confession is ‘not too bad’ besides it’s ‘law’.

Innocent people killed because the religious are looking for witches, demons etc

How many wizards are tried in the ME?;)

Christians need to be against witchcraft. It is part of their religion. To be against it as a spiritual sin you have to believe in it. Of course a lot of things fall into the realm of witchcraft depending on your own personal beliefs. It has either a bad meaning such as making a man impotent, a good one such as new age crystal healing stuff, or a more neutral one such as talking to the dead like Circe in the Odyssey. Eating human organs is a great example of a negative reference of the word witchcraft. It almost makes ya want to grab a torch and march to the town square.

Don't believe in witchcraft or black magic. Visit India specialy bangal, you'll change your opinion. "bangal ka jado" is a very popular term there. Fellow Indian DP members can confirm that.

Being popular, Widely believed or culturally important doesn't mean it's possible or real. The belief in sorcery and magic may be widespread, but it's still not real and still not possible.
