Is the content legal ?

    Hi,

    Posting adult videos from video sharing sites, like youtube, metacafe, etc. Is that legal content?

    is it legal to post in our blogs ?

    You can embed the content using youtubes code, but you can't rip the content and then reupload it as your own to youtube or your blog.

    If the content on youtube isn't pirated by the person who originally uploaded it you are fine. Check your local laws to see if internet porn is legal, in some places, India for example, porn is illegal.

    As far as my knowledge goes, even linking to copyrighted material can get you into trouble- be it adult or other material.

    I'm no lawyer, so all advice is to be taken with you-know-what ;)

    most of the video sharing sites allows us to embed their content. So, i am not pulling the video from there and posting in my blog. just embedding the content they provide.

    If the content you embed infringes on the copyright of someone else that is still contributory infringement and illegal.

    I am just embedding the code given by video sharing sites. i am not hosting any files in my server. if youtube blocks any of those videos. the same cannot be accessible from my site too.

    As I have repeated, just because content is on youtube doesn't mean it's legal or you can't be held responsible for contributory copyright infringement.

    Metacafe actually does allow adult contect, to an extent. Just check their
    18+ section.

    But yes, this is completely legal.
