Hi SURF4FUN, I see you are trying to do good on this thread. Sharing experiences and what really goes in these threads & forums(lot of fake). You are right in lot of things. People here do not get you because they have small brains or they do not want to know what reality is. People do not understand what business is or what creating value is. They want to be self employed. They just want to make some easy money with out a long term goal or vision. You are wise, why are you wasting your time? Leave it. Web is a big business, for whom who create value to the community or business. You are right in saying that newbies get misleaded alot after reading all these threads. Nobody talks about creating useful websites and use some of that traffic to make money through affliates or adsence. Infact you see everywhere in forums, other way, 1) reg a keyword domain (searched) 2) put some unique content 3) add links (lot of garbage advise, they call it seo) 4) put with affliates links( make them no follow) & adsense. Make money If you are a Newbie and smart understand what surf4fun is saying(He is not stupid he has seen life). And do what you think is right. Affliate marketing is great way to make money. But do not create site for that purpose only (unless you want quick money). If you like affliate marketing create value useful websites. create sites like moneysupermarket.com, simplyswitch.com, gocompare.com or create blogs like bankaholic.com (which sold for 15m$), If he can do it you can do it infact anybody can do it. Choose your niche, go for it create value, create business. Do not worry money will follow, if you have genuine traffic, you can do lot of things to make money. Be smart do not fall for easy money. And surf4fun leave it mate you said every thing all the smart people got it.
I didn't want to comment, but i just had to, sorry. I couldn't stop laughing. These are some very powerful advices. I hope the smart people got you.
Thanks for the great tips. Affiliate marketing does work but it gets a bad rap because people give up to soon or simply spam every where they go. Congrats man.
LOL @ Surf4Fun replying to himself with other usernames. This thread is getting stranger and stranger.
@Nabs, you just proved it could be done. I am beginning to have some success but it is not anywhere in your region. Man, keep it up. I hope to be somewhere near in the nearest future. Just found a program to do it for me. Care looking. Send me a PM. Do not want to run against the TOS here.
hi..im newbie in the affiliate marketing. now i have problem with cj. i even cant go in to their website. last few day im just registered with them but i have problem to submit the form they are given cause i dont have their email. they just provide the fax number. im still trying to open their website but still cannot. i only can see the blank web. can u help me..
Just want to chuck in the best quote i have discovered "The reason why your not successful is because you haven't failed enough, and you need to fail more and faster" As soon as you read this, it hits you bigtime. Another one, Never ever go directly for big goals, in most cases they will be overwhelming. Instead divide it into smaller goals which lead up to your main goal.
Nabs - You say you add about 200 pages of content per site. How many pages do you add per day for a site. Will adding too many pages at once get you penalized ? and yeah your'e rocking dude
I can't believe I just read all 719 posts. Whoever bumped up this thread...thank you, it was incredibly inspirational...I've been in SEO/PPC etc for a very very long time and thought about going into affiliate marketing today and this thread had provided some fantastic information on good nad bad points. Nabs: You're an absolute legend bro. Initially I thought you were a scammer but after reading your posts and relating it to what I have learnt over the last 12 years in web development I think I have concluded that you are genuine in your knowledge. People must understand that its not something that is done overnight but takes months and years to perfect. To develop a website can take 5 minutes, but to master a website for search engine rankings is a completely different kettle of fish. Good luck and all the best guys. Zaheer
By the way, for those of you who havent read every post like me...Nabs said his au revoirs months ago and probably won't return to answer all yoru questions, if you scroll back to the first inital 10 pages most of the questions have been answered there... Right I'm off to get some fresh air after reading that WHOLE thread for the last 3 hours....
