Doomed to eat healthy? Sounds like something that most people could use more of. How do you eat chips/queso with a fork?
When I get to the very last of the tortilla chips, I mix them with the left over queso dip and eat it with a spoon...
Elitists, the lot of you. Nothing like a bowl, some chips and queso dip, and your face. The only time I'd be caught in flagrante delicto anyway would be the rare attempts to recapture my youthful forays into base debauchery, so were I to be dog-chowing the chips and dip, ample beer would be nearby - to pour over my face and shirt, and rinse the evidence away.
A product with the consistency of liquid plastic, with the color of a nuclear explosion, and the taste of childhood before the television. Hence its nostalgic appeal. Anything but "cheese," but loaded with chomp appeal.
Chili con Queso http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chili_con_queso I guess you've never had the good stuff... A good friend of mine makes the best Queso on the planet.
Hummus! Yum! Haven't had it in a while though... goes well with almost anything.. especially grilled chicken and kubbus or lebanon bread... drooool...
Buffalo, I'm sorry - I should have made the "wink" more obvious, as my attempt at humor failed pathetically. The image I was shooting for was late night cable watching, a jar of fake queso, and a bottle or several of stale beer. In all honestly, totally agree with you - I love authentic queso fundido - not the least reason of which is its nearly infinite possibilities.
improvise! buff's got the right idea! I ctrl+shift you not! I do the exact same thing!! ahh dude, you are missing out big time. If Dew is the Nectar of the Gods, queso is their dip!!! club: joined
With... didn't know they make hummus without tahini... isn't it like one of the principal ingredients?
No - hummus is made with garbanzo beans, garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, and a dusting of sumac (my way, anyway), oftentimes blended with tahini. Tahini is essentially "sesame butter," in the same mode as peanut butter or any other nut butter.
I love kebabs...mixed meat with garlic sauce and hot chilli sauce...all the salads with yoghurt and olives and halpinos
