Russian stock market means nothing and I'll tell you why, because the banking system in Russia is WEAK, unlike in the west. So, I didnt feel anything and dont give a damn about the Micex or RTS :) Another words, an average russian dont feel it, and I dont give a damn of those numbers.

haha, I would vote anytime for him, because as a russian citizen I CAN see the changes, you are going to say that its all oil, etc, but even if its oil you have to be very strong to run a currupted Russia and share some money with your own people & save them to the reserve, correct? Correct. Even without the oil, Russia is a rich country and a country with a big potential, to put up this potential, that is the goal. I dont think Eltsin with his vodka in his hand ever thought about such things ;)

I'd vote the next time after Medvedev, if Putin decides to go again for the president.

How do you like it? Lets say it, democracy = voice of people, right? Well, here ya go :)

The global finance crisis is caused by non-responsible Wall Street opportunitist in US.
To be honest, I appreciate Putin. He is a true man, a man of resposibility for his nation.

Wow, the anti-Russian team have a lot of fun watching Russia's stock market down.

Russia didn't enjoy it when the terrorists struck America, but you guys like it big time whenever a bad news comes about Russia.
What kind of people are you?

Putin unlike your beloved Bush has about 78% approval rating.
Bush latest approval rating is 18%.

Where is the democracy in US if only 18% are behind the president? If Bush had any honor he should have stepped down long ago.
Like the cons here, he'll never accept any guilt, that's how high are his morals, .... and that's why America is in this shape because she's been led by a C student and an all time failure person.

Russia isn't very intelligent. They are using their windfall profits from the high price of oil to confront the West.

Oil may bottom at $50. What are you going to do then?

Ha, ha, ha.... US is very, very initelligent .... why the "only super power" now is in a super, super financial crises then?

If you don't know it yet. The US has lost its financial superpower status.
I don't know how can a country, with trillions in debt, can be considered superpower in its full meaning at all?

And you know what saved a bit US? The fools in the world who believed US was a super power and sharing now probably half of the US financial troubles.

If all those foreign investors in US had more common sense and didn't invest in the US bad mortgages the economy in US would be probably twice as bad. But they were "believing US is a superpower and can do anything."
Oh, boy ...... sooner or later reality brings down to Earth everyone.

Actually, the US is a superpower because we exchange trillions of goods and services for useless pieces of greenpaper.

The Soviet Union was a superpower also when all of Eastern and Central Europe provided manpower and industrial goods.

Are you for real. Russia has recently flown offensive bombers to Venzuela, threatened Poland over the US plans to station anti-ballistic missles, provided Iran with nuclear technology, invaded Georgia, used natural gas as a weapon against Europe, and has been staging strategic 'nuclear' war games.

US provokes us to do it and you know it ;) We are not going to sit and watch you coming to our backyard, not gonna happen.

If you have interests near our borders - we'll have our interests near your borders. Simple as that.

At first glance the witch Rice were laughing when she heard about russian planes/ships gonna arrive in Venezuela, but when they DID arrive, she started to play that role like : We are so regret about this fact :) XOXO, how were we regret when you trained and pushed the georgians to die, thats what I wanted to say to her.

Let's sum it up, your words:

Russia has oil = $ - thats bad

Russia has gas = $ - thats bad too

Russia has nukes - thats bad

Russia has $ 546 bln foreign exchange reserves - very bad!

Russia doesnt have anything, poor and cold = thats good? In your dreams :D You see, your goal is further and further from reality.

care to explain how we use it as a weapon? We have enough weapons besides natural resources, if you call a market high price on some products "weapons", well, then let me buy a Mercedes for free, ok? :)

Google yourself, dont have an answer? thats ok.

Following your logic, Russia could sell oil to Europe for $150 a barrel if wanted, isnt happening, is it?

Its funny, that a capitalist doesnt get it or perhaps is trying to look like he doesnt get it :)

Is this how we use it as a weapon?:

Its not our fault that UK isnt acting the same way as Germany with us, thus the TNK-BP court saga doesnt mean that we use it as a weapon.
